When in Rome…

I spent 4 days in Rome. 4 days of walking and eating incessantly in this city like no other. Every corner of this place has an amazing monument, sculpture or church to be admired. There are 2000 year old monuments, art by Michelangelo and Raphael and ice cream that will  blow your mind. There are also long ticket lines everywhere, crazy traffic, expensive meals and crowds wherever you go.

I took the city in with full force and walked for miles to see as much as I could. There are a few things you must do when in Rome and a few things you should avoid. Here’s my list:

Summer memories

summermemoriesIt’s been ages since I’ve actually posted something here in my little corner and I feel like such a terrible blogger! I am profoundly sorry but I am back and had a great time catching up on all you fab posts – I missed the blogging world!

Still, saying goodbye to Summer is so hard  and I have to admit I have a serious case of holiday blues. It will go away, I know. Meanwhile I decided that the best way to share my holidays with you would be to put together a quick post showing you my favourite things/moments. So, here goes.

Lisbon: If I had to pick 5 things to eat

lisbon3This will be the last of my Lisbon series posts (I apologise if it seems like it’s all I’ve been talking about lately but it’s such a nice city! ^.^ ) and it will feature something Portugal is amazing at: food! It will be much shorter than the other two Lisbon posts but it will give you little ideas of what to order/get if you do visit Lisbon anytime soon. In a nutshell, it’s the list of things I have to get every time I go to Portugal (good thing I don’t go very often!). Enjoy my lovelies!

Lisbon: If I had to pick 5 places

part2In my previous post I made a list of my favourite cafes (if you haven’t seen it, check it out here) and now it’s time to share with you my 5 favourite places. It was 10 times harder than choosing the cafes as Lisbon has so many lovely places (like most cities)! So without further ado, welcome to my second post in my “Top things to do in Lisbon” series (if you are new to my blog, this will be composed of three posts: If I could pick 5 Cafes; If I could pick 5 places and If I could pick 5 things to eat). These are my top places my dears:

Lisbon: If I had to pick 5 cafes

cafesfinal As promised here is my first post about my beloved Lisbon *yay*. As I mentioned before this post is not going to be a post with all the touristic places to go to but instead it will focus on some of my favourite spots (although some of them may coincide). During my week in Lisbon the weather was fantastic (although sometimes really cold in the evenings) and I miss it already! As I have an extensive list of things to do in Lisbon, I’ve decided to split it into 3 posts: If I had to pick 5 cafes; If I had to pick 5 places and; If I had to pick 5 things to eat. This post will be about my favourite cafes! Lisbon has a range of different cafes everywhere (going out for a coffee is cultural!) and picking 5 is no easy task but I have made my list – enjoy:

When in Paris…

903b8c061d8b413508fec39a7fa773e2

Ah Paris…I couldn’t have a blog and not post about this city and it’s little magical wonders. As it’s one of the most visited cities in the world, everyone knows the main places to go to (Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysee, etc.) but I’m going to share with you my own personal list of favourite places and things to do. I believe Paris should be visited at least once and trust me, it’s hard not to love this place.
