Afternoon tea in Terre a Terre

IMG_7656I think it’s safe to say I love anything that involves cake, tarts, muffins or anything sweet. Well today I decided to try out Terre a Terre’s afternoon tea with the lovely Jordan from Just Jawwie.

The one thing that beats having afternoon tea is having afternoon tea with a fellow blogger! That awkward feeling you might get when taking loads of pictures in a cafe simply vanishes when there’s two of you doing it! Thank you Jordan *.*

So, Terre a Terre – it was created in 1993 and is now one of the most successful vegetarian restaurants in the UK. It’s very welcoming and cozy and besides their delicious meals and tea they offer a full range of products you can buy like jams, nibbles, chutneys, etc.

IMG_7687IMG_7680terreaterreThe menu is enormous and the options are endless but we chose the Sweet tea which included the following:

  • Lemon almond cake served with lemon curd, and roasted almond and pistachio
  • Mini chocolate meringues with Chantilly cream, damson purée and blackberries
  • Chocolate truffle cake with white chocolate crumble
  • Banana almond spice cake with griddled pineapple coffee bean praline and white miso sweet sherry caramel
  • Nobbly nutty chestnut honey nougat

Do check it out if you haven’t, it’s worth it.

Lots of love,

  1. Hello Lara! I liked reading this post; it makes me miss going to The Path of Tea back in Houston. We had a cute tea shop here in Madison called Dobra Tea, it had a Nepali theme going on, with beaded curtains and little raised platforms to sit on with comfy rugs, tuffets, and low tables to prevent spillage and promote conversation. It closed, and became another sandwich shop (sigh) and now a bubble tea place (double sigh, there’s one literally across the street that’s almost identical except the other place has couches and a board game area).

By the way, you’ve been chosen as one of today’s nine blogs in That’s So Jacob’s Ninth Month Blog Challenge (http://www.thatssojacob.wordpress.com)! I challenge you to find nine blogs you find interesting and give them a comment to brighten their day…well, eight other blogs and mine 🙂 Copy this message in your comment and enjoy your new blog friends!

    1. Thank you so much for this comment! It’s a shame when our favourite places close, and for a sandwich shop..mega sigh!
I will have a look at the challenge properly and might give it a go. Thanks for popping by 🙂
