Sunday pleasures: banana bread

bananabreadToday I had some friends over for brunch and among the many things we had (I’m still full!) I made some banana bread/cake. My friend gave me this recipe (from epicurious.com) and it is absolutely delicious and super simple!

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Chocolate chips (as many as you want)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 160°. In a bowl mash the bananas and add all the other ingredients – mix well with a wooden spoon. Butter a loaf tin and place the mixture in the tin. Bake for about 1 hour at 160°.

And voila! It’s that easy – no complicated baking skills involved!

You have to try it out it’s delicious!

  1. Omg, looks delicious!
I love banana bread! My mother in law always buys a bunch of banana’s so that they can ripen well and we can make it! BTW Check out my last post, I nominated you for a blogger award! ❤
