I’ve always been a planner and organizer (as I said before I can’t live without my to-do lists) but have to admit I haven’t taken the time to organize my week as much as I used to and I can see the consequences (not good ladies!). Yesterday however I decided to get back to my weekly organization as I could feel the chaos settling in and boy did I feel better today! This is a list of things you should do on a weekend (Sundays are best) that will make you ready for the week ahead. They are simple things but they will help you be worry-free and relaxed for the whole week. Try it:
1. Choose your outfit for the next day
Such a difference this makes! It saves me up to 10 mins every morning of going through my wardrobe and trying on different outfits. If you’re brave choose your outfit for the whole week!
2. Do all your laundry
There’s nothing worse than wanting to wear something during the week and realising it’s in the dirty laundry basket! Use part of your Sunday to do all your laundry and it will save you of that headache – fresh clothes for a fresh week!
3. Change your sheets & tidy up your home
How amazing is it to get into a fresh bed on a Sunday night? It will help you sleep so much better! There is also nothing better than waking up to a clean house on a Monday. I don’t mean spend your Sunday cleaning but take 15 minutes to tidy up your home and wipe down your kitchen & toilet counters. Put everything back where it belongs and you will thank yourself on the next day!
4. Do your grocery shopping for the week
Restocking your fridge on a Sunday means you won’t have to go grocery shopping during the week. I hate coming home after work to find I have nothing to eat so restocking my fridge on a Sunday is a must do!
5. Prepare your breakfast for Monday
Another headache saver. When I don’t do this I’m usually late for work so I do this religiously. I get my breakfast prepared for Monday so when I’m ready all I have to do is grab breakfast and go. Seriously, saves so much time!
6. Beauty: refresh for the week
I like to take Sundays to do my manicure, pedicure and any other beauty thing that needs doing. Again, it will make you feel reset for the week.
7. Check your calendar for the week
Check everything you have planned for the week so you don’t forget or skip anything. This only takes about 5 minutes but will help you be more organized. Make fresh to-do lists for the week!
Use Sunday to relax. I usually do all these things during the morning (apart form preparing breakfast) so I have the afternoon and evening free. Catch up on some reading and do things you enjoy. Sunday should be a stress-free day.
